The substantial growth of the production and exports of Peruvian avocados during the last years deserves the organization of a world class event that can gather the most qualified speakers specialized in the subject.

The II International Symposium of the Avocado (SIPA 2011) is, as its name indicates, the second version of this event, and is justified by the significant effort done by an important group of Peruvian businessmen and farmers.

For sure, there is no agricultural event that can present in such an objective and integral manner the impressive development of the avocado business in Peru; even more considering the recent diplomatic achievement of the Peruvian government in obtaining from its American counterpart, the permission to access the US market without quarantine treatments.

The international event that will take place in the campus of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina – UNALM, on November 16th and 17th, 2011; is oriented to businessmen, farmers, technicians, traders, bankers and, in general, to everyone interested in the development of the avocado business in Peru.
